I dont really buy it to be honest, looking at the graph you yourself are posting as evidence, over 20 years into your test and the leveraged gains are still dropping down to the same level as the regular s&p500. The differences are only becoming apparent on timespans longer than 40 years, not only that but you've conspicuously started the graph immediately after a 90% drop in the stock market, literally any portfolio looks good backtested through the 20th century. What you can't guarantee is that the next 100 years won't contain even a single 33% drop at any time, because your 3x leverage would immediately be obliterated.
