Literally no one I knows uses dating apps. Everyone I know met their partner IRL.

Dating apps are a meme for permanently online losers and women with mental illness.

No normal person IRL uses this shit. In fact most people I know make fun of people that use dating apps, especially women.

>"What a loser, he/she can't even get laid without the use of some app, imagine being so unappealing you can't meet someone in regular daily life"
That seems to be the mindset.

I feel absolutely bad for Gen Z thoughever. I've met women ages 22-24 that are still virgins, barely have any friends and barely did anything social in their lives besides browse the internet and engage digitally with people through their smartphones.

Gen Z is an absolutely sexless generation. When even the fucking WOMEN aren't having sex you know the generation is doomed.

How are you guys feeling? Have you guys lost hope yet or are some of you still having secret dreams of lambos?

Any big ICOs I've been missing or is everyone here still shilling LINK, REQ and ETH?

I'm coming here to determine the mentality of the market right now. It's almost been one and a half year after the bubble popped and I need to gauge how the sentiment is among the "enthusiasts" (you).

P.S. don't try to shill me your dumb obscure shit. I'm an oldfag that's been into crypto on 4chan since 2010, save yourself the effort.

seriously though—fucking retards
i was a vegetarian once (both because i'm a big fucking baby who loves cows and chickens and shit, AND out of an effort to avoid overconsuming antibiotics and hormones), and when i was, i would often find myself explaining similar things to people who took to extremes to promote their views
i knew a chick who was a vegetarian because she said that she loved animals, but when we were at a restaurant and her order of a meat-free meal got screwed up with the inclusion of a few small sausages, she had the whole thing sent back. though i think that people should be able to do whatever they want with their stuff, i explained to her the irony of the situation—the animal is already dead, but instead of giving the sausages to someone else, she has the whole thing sent back to go to the trash. as it had then stood, the meat industry had been paid for those sausages, and the animal(s you fucking autists) had been killed to produce them—and, she was just tossing them out. she insisted on doing so, rather than having the sausages passed off to me or someone else who was willing to eat them.
she had (and has) good intentions, but good intentions don't make straight-up wasting food that animals had died in producing any less pointless. her reasoning skills have always been off. maybe some more protein, or in addition to that, some omega 3s from a few cans of sardines might help...?

I think they will post some updates about Dapps that are being developed upon the REQ protocol.

They will talk about how they will change their development timeline. And they will show that woocommerce plugin is ready for webstore owners.

Maybe they'll talk about ERC20 implementation soon but looking at github that is not complete yet. Bitcoin oracle is not even close to finished and I don't expect that before the end of Q2

People in this thread are retarded.

More and more wealth gets generated with fewer and fewer work. It's not a zero-sum game. About 4% new wealth per capita is being generated every year.

So there's more goods/food/housing/services per person every year and the production costs are lower and lower as well. We clearly see the quality of life improve for EVERYONE.

A middle class person in the first world won't have a big difference in quality of life from a billionaire. In the middle ages peasants would literally die from hunger while the emperor was fed and had all luxuries of the time.

Nowadays a middle class person can buy all the food he wants and the most healthy option is within his budgetary needs. A billionaire can't spend $1,000,000 on a meal and get a significantly better option. At best he will be paying for vanity and not a genuine increase in nutritional quality.

Technology: A middle class person will have the same smartphones and laptops as the richest people on the planet a billionaire doesn't have access to alien superior technology by buying a $1,000,000,000 smartphone.

You can extend this to almost all services and goods. Except maybe real estate. Even marriage with beautiful women (which was considered a status symbol back then) is now primarily based on your appearance and not your financial wellbeing. A billionaire and a in-shape attractive middle-class citizen have the same potential dating pool.

All-in-all in the 21th century while the literal inequality is astronomical in monetary value. The actual difference in quality of life is very small and actually DIMINISHING due to technological advances.

And to answer your question. Instead of thinking about "rich" as having an X amount of $ on your bank. Think about being rich as having all the consumer goods/services and general quality of life of a millionaire right now. That quality of life is EASILY given to the total human population due to the automation in the coming decades.

Honestly $0.10

It'll be about 30 or even top 20 in CoinMarketcap but still be only $0.10 due to the entire crypto market crashing HARD.

Long term (5+ years) Request Network is going to make you very rich but in the short term the crash of the crypto market is going to drag it down, hard.

Not the fault of Request Network since they are the BEST crypto project out there but I've been in the crypto space for almost a decade now and it's clear we're now entering the biggest bear market crypto has ever experienced. So every project out there will suffer greatly. If you're smart you'll just invest a small part of your monthly salary into REQ every month and when the crypto space finally recovers in 3-4 years time you'll make an insane amount of profit and can probably retire.

Before you say "but 3-4 years is too fucking long" realize that NO OTHER investment opportunity is going to provide similar guarantees long-term so good luck finding an alternative.

Space manufacturing industry.

People don't realize that due to companies such as SpaceX space launches will get cheaper.

Sure Astroid mining is still decades away. But you can only manufacture certain kinds of materials in the vacuum of space. Some industries have to create an artificial vacuum on earth to create small amounts of certain materials which is really expensive and could be done cheaper in space.

Prepare to invest a lot of money in startups over the coming 5 years that try to manifacture in space. A lot of people also don't know that metals are extremely easy to weld in 0 gravity in a vacuum due to the fact that the properties of metal atoms actually change in vacuum. This results in superior welds that can't be achieved on Earth and these welds are sold for millions of dollars due to the extremely strong bond between them that have military usage.

There is no startup right now focusing on this but I'm sure within 5 years time as the cost of launches drop every month there will come a point when it becomes economically viable to start vacuum manufacturing and space welding in low orbit.

Absolutely not. Believe me or not I am a useless piece of shit that mostly lived off of his parents and played video games all of his life.

At 31 I decided that enough is enough and I learned Japanese. Took me 3 years to get a good handle on the language and I went to Japan to become an English teacher for a couple of years (made 30k USD a year). Had my first girlfriend and long term relationship over there. Returned when I was 37 and I started my own Japanese Ramen restaurant by hiring a Japanese friend I made and some college student part timers with the savings I made while working as an English teacher.

I'm not rich or anything now but I am happy and don't feel useless and it feels good to own a business that I can grow over time. Feel like I've been a teenager until 34 and my life only really started when I actually tried something for once.

So no whatever the age is you're at it's not too late but set out long-term timelines. See where you want to be in 10 years time and start working towards it NOW.

>is anyone actually happy?

No and it's literally neurologically impossible to be happy.

It's just a romanticized utopic idea that people somehow fall into some state of mind where they are "happy".

What actually happens is that when your quality of life increases you get tons of endorphins and feel really happy for a while. But after a while your brain adjusts to that level of quality of life so you will feel "normal" and "unfulfilled" again.

So you have to constantly improve your Quality of Life to stay happy.

Again there is no permanent happiness it's just a temporary mindset. The same is true with depression. There is no such thing as permanent depression it's just a downward spiral of worse and worse quality of life.

Please don't believe in myths such as "depression, happiness, love" or any other romanticized emotional state. Because our brains aren't that complex. It's just temporary hormones affecting mood.

those cover the cryptoCURRENCIES pretty well.

However you also have cryptoplatforms such as ETH and NEO that offer decentralized computing.

Then there are decentralized applications which bring all sorts of benefits to the real world that weren't possible without blockchain.

Cryptocurrencies is what the mainsteam have in their mind when thinking about crypto. Bitcoin,TRON,Nano. This is NOT the future of course. The real future is within the decentralized applications that actually add any value to society. Smart contracts/automated oracles/non-profit financial systems will all change the world.

REQ falls within the last category. It's a decentralized application and also a platform for other financial decentralized applications. It aims to cut out middlemen in the financial portal industry by using advantages of blockchain automation that conventional businesses such as paypal and the accounting firms can't use right now.

REQ is also non-profit to ensure that no profitable company can compete with it.

THIS is how crypto will change the world. By making non-profits more competitive than for-profit companies.

Paypal could never survive with a 0.05% fee with their current administration due to having shareholders and pressure to grow exponentially and keep making profit.

Projects like REQ though don't face these pressures and can permanently undercut for-profit companies.

You will have to tell your children that we used to have weird constructs called "for-profit" companies that always tried to maximize profit and therefor paradoxically didn't get the optimum profit.

It's goddamn time as well the financial world has been gridlocked in a monopoly/oligopoly since at least the rennaisance. And I don't mean it in the /pol/ conspiracy way. Just that regulations have made the bar of entry so high that banks/financial firms could dictate all policies and that has kept innovation behind. We now exploit the fact that they didn't innovate in time.

For the people that don't know what the coinbase thing is

Coinbase:
>Pay with either ETH,BTC,BCH,LTC on websites
>Merchant receives whatever you paid with (if you paid with LTC the merchant receives LTC)
>That's it just a simple payment portal for those 4 coins
>charges between 3-5% Fees

Request Network:
>Pay with all fiat and cryptocurrencies
>You can pay with BTC but the merchant will receive USD or whatever the fuck he chooses he wants (Thus the merchants don't have to actually hold any cryptocurrency for them to still support it)
>Does all the accounting, invoicing, auditing for the business saving them tons of money
>Fees between 0.05-0.5%

This is like saying Disney World will close down now that the Traveling Carnival is in town.

It's pretty chill. Only 1 year of marine training. Then an additional 6 months of leadership training. I get a lot of time off between launches where I can just browse /biz/.

I have a 6 year contract of which 4 years are left. I wonder if I should join a PMC or just be a commercial flight control expert after my time is up.

Any ex-militaries with similar experience that got some advice for me? Most of my colleagues are genuinely patriotic and want to stay within the national army their entire careers. I'm more ambitious than that.

Idea #1
>mix anticholinergic pills with pheromone blockers so that you will stop sweating and smelling
>People will not stink and thus can skip showering and thus be more productive members of society

Imagine only having to shower once a month and thus saving your time and heating/water costs.

Idea #2
>Develop a medical mechanical capsule that you swallow with a sensor embedded in it.
>Have an app on your smartphone in which you can adjust for the mechanical capsule to release a certain dosage of the medicine every X interval.
>Could also be used for vitamins/caffeine/nutrients to maximize your attention/hormonal balance/nutrition.

Idea #3:
>Have ultra dense pressure pressed ice cubes that contain a lot of H2O in a single cube due to the pressuring method.
>You just put the cube in a glass of water in the sun and it'll slowly fill the cup by expanding over the course of half a minute due to the heat.
>Used for military rationing, hiking travelers and spacestations.

You can't time the market buddy. Could also have happened that the market kept growing through january and REQ ended up at $5 while you sold at $1.

Holding spares you a lot of headaches. I know this over 2 years of holding shitcoins.

Anyway there WILL be a third cryptocurrency bullrun.

The first was cryptocurrencies
The second was cryptocommodities (Platforms)

The third will be applications that generale real-world revenue. REQ will be one of the first that will do this.

Patience my dudes

Tons historically more empires collapsed due to deflation rather than inflation.

>The first spanish empire.
>One of the reasons Caesar became dictator was because the economy was in shambles due to deflation causing the end of the roman republic
>Dutch Republic collapsed because the florin increased too much in value making it impractical to use coins as people couldn't give change back

There are tons more but these are the biggest and well known examples.

What's pretty funny is that inflation almost never leads to a collapse but simply to an economic meltdown while an deflationary spiral is many times more detrimental to a society and can genuinely bring it to its knees.

Which is why cryptocurrencies should have a type of inflationary function build in. Bitcoin already does that due to forking.

Gold production is at an all-time-high and we discovered more gold deposits in the last 5 years than in the entire 20th century.

Precious metals and oil prices will stay low for a LONG while. New technology has made it possible to find new deposits and made it exponentially cheaper to exploit both precious metals and oil deposits.

What is pushing gold, silver and oil prices down right now is ironically inflation. Since more and more is pumped out the ground day by day.
