Yes, big time. Royal Mint, which I would class as greedy was offering me under 4% spot when I inquired about selling my gold to them. I went shopping around for other local precious metals dealers and got 1% under spot for both gold and silver. I could have probably got some premium price if I tried hard enough with individual collectors, but this was my first time selling my swag where I was testing the waters to get some experience.
