Keep a hold stack, and a "swing" stack.
Let your swing stack be a sell off point you're comfortable with. For me, I always sell my swing stack at ~$2.60, and buy back in at 2.40. I've done this several times and made a couple thousand dollars. That's a few months rent for no work.

It's nice actually seeing money go into my bank account. You haven't made any profits until you sell.
