These EIC bars are fucking sweet! My dealer doesn't have them, but I got this kilo instead. It's not as nice but the price was very good.
And actually I'm not sure they'll send me this exact one. They also have Cook Island "Bounty" coin bars, and probably others too. It just says different bar & year, so can't really pick on out, it's random.

Dunno, I've only seen that Tokelau >>51348357 and this Fiji bar, and both have the queen and a dollar face value.

What gets me is how the stock market is pumping right now, doesn't really make sense. Maybe they'll dump it soon and that's a good time to buy. But I'd be happy to start buying with prices in the 1600's like back in July. I missed that dip because my funds weren't ready yet.

Yeah, it's way too risky to wait until the last minute. I'm not well enough connected, don't even have a LCS, and a ton of things can go wrong with supply chains. Even just right now they're having shipping delays.

1 oz of gold is worth 1 oz of gold, period. All that other stuff is speculation. But at 1 oz size, the price difference of bars vs. coins is insignificant. It's only with larger sizes like 50 grams and above where the bars have a significant advantage.
But there can also be tax reasons to buy coins. In the UK, you buy gold sovs, simple as. In the EU, you buy silver coins, not bars that have VAT on the full amount. But you can buy those Tokelau or similar 1-kilo coinbars for pretty cheap, so that's kind of a loophole. Those are still taxed, with VAT on the premium portion, so it's not quite as good a deal as burgers who can buy 10 oz or bigger silver bars tax-free.

Card transactions also have payment processor fees, and all the PM dealers pass those onto the customer. Maybe it's the same with that store (jacked-up prices).

>>51165133
Yeah that's really good. US stackers have it a bit easier, because no VAT. I'm still not doing too bad at 23.77/oz average, buying only legal tender coins. This coin bar was my best deal so far at 23.06/oz. Worst was a kookaburra (31.82).

How about coin bars like this? Well this one doesn't have a serial number, I guess. I bought just one because the price was really good. Also it has a boat!
Otherwise normal bars without a face value aren't worth buying if you're in the EU, because you'll pay VAT on the full amount of the sale, instead of just the dealer's margin part.

Yeah I guess those bars are the best deal right now. I was looking at this other bar recently, but it's more expensive (750 euros) and doesn't have any serial numbers.
What about their Goddess Europa coins? I'm more interested in coins than bars overall, and I'm still looking to get another 1000 oz of silver, mostly in the form of 1 oz coins because they will be easier to liquidate piecemeal, if need be. A few more 1-kilo pieces is fine too, if the prices are good (I already got 4x 5-kilo and 4x 1-kilo coins).

I don't think you really missed much, or that the stop prices have much meaning. When I made a big order this weekend (~ 600 oz), the spot prices were higher than today, but the store prices were lower!

Looks like these coins bars are my cheapest option right now. Is there any downside to them? I was thinking to get 11 of these and 3 of the cheapest 1-oz gold coins. Or should I get a monster box of britannias and a single oz of gold? I haven't got any gold yet, just a bit over 500 oz silver.

Rolling for cheap gold. C'mon, cheep cheep!
