That looks neat, but I'm looking more for something that operates as an isolating/transparent proxy the same way Whonix does so I can run services regularly with a decreased chance of leaks. Thanks anyway, anon

Reminder to do your civic duty. Buy with Monero, get paid with Monero, run a node, and/or mine on p2pool

Good news: I'm setting up my own monerod and p2pool (with tor onion later). I though, yeah bro I'll let the pruned node sync one day and p2pool the next. I was so naive.
Is initial monerod sync getting unbearably slow after 70% (before the block 2M thereabouts) a common experience? It's now saying 14~8 days left. I'm going schizo if whether my ISP throttling monerod or something. It does clearly grind the I/O down with writes, I feel it on my memes file server on the same machine so I guess it's doing something.

Oh and I've got 10KH/s to give. Should I go with p2pool mini? I've heard something about its hash rate being so low it misses payment windows or something.

>It all goes through globohomo tubes. They run the infrastructure.
>They know you.
>They know you have XMR.
>They know where you send your XMR.

Something like:
>be me, ultra normie
>sees that bunch of stores accept xmr
>buy some xmr on KYC exchange to buy stuff
>don't buy anything
>send monero to a different wallet in a few transactions
>knock knock, it's the IRS
>"hi I have no xmr, I bought it in 2020 to buy stuff online"
>"what stuff?"
>"not gonna lie sir, i bought some weed and cuban cigars from a guy online on craiglist"
>"here, look, these are the transactions"
>show transactions from the first wallet
>"ah ok have a good day sir"
>"thanks"
So, nah, even in a full police state scenario you still have plausible deniability. Monero always wins.

Yes. MoneroOcean has their own fork of xmrig so you can mine multiple currencies and get paid in XMR... Or it was like that a few years ago. MoneroOcean.stream, check it out. I like MoneroOcean because it kinda works with Gresham's law: it mines a bunch of currencies and sell all the bad money for good money (monero).

It's like torrent. It's only using when the software is open. Just make sure it's not running during the startup and only when you run your wallet. It's gonna take a few minutes to sync depending on how long it's been since you last used it but it won't be running 24/7.

>even BTC is an absolutely monsterous bubble with sadly no real use case. btc is dinosaur tech and not used as it was inteed to be used. btc is not money.
While I agree that Bitcoin is not money and that it's not being used as it was intended to be used, I do not believe it is possible to disregard the human capacity to assign value synthetically. Bitcoin is now abstract and has become a part of digital history. It is like real estate and has as its function something similar to flaunting gold jewellery. That's one of the main reasons Bitcoin has and will keep having value. I just am incapable to tell how much.

>>28840835
Is it auction/bid-style?
Yes. In an ideal scenario we would have 2 or 3 services that would act as intermediaries to host bids and asks and allow parties to find counterparties. Who sets the price is the market.

Just keep some BTC. I was 75-25 XMR-BTC last year but with BTC raising too much it fucked the ratio. I will ride the wave, though. And remember kids, never sell your full stack. Having a bunch of dollars is fun but this is a loooong game...
