Paper MTG, slinging some random kitchen table level decks with my bros and doing an occasional IN PERSON draft with 7ish ***HUMAN** opponents picking cards in the other packs is why I play the game. I will never and I mean never play arena.

To be honest, the actual content of the recent sets looks solid from what I've seen. Creative team & rules team is still going strong it seems. I just don't feel like I have the time anymore to keep up with things enough to do paper draft, and most of my friends don't play that much anymore. It is also kind of a money incinerator if you get too far into it so there's that as well.

If you are really getting FOMO that it will moon after you sell, keep some, maybe 10% of your port if you must (that is already a pretty high confidence position, I am being generous here... maybe roll some of them to longer-dated or something, I don't do options so I can't advise how to best do this) and, and I cannot emphasize this enough, CASH THE REST. I can tell from your posts you weren't ready to bet on one coin flip, so make it a couple of months of paychecks gamble not an all-in.

Bro. Here's some simple questions to help you figure this out:

1. What's the interest rate on your credit card? (the real one, not the promotional rate if you have one of those right now)
2. Can you reliably, every single month, make more than that in the stock market, regardless of market conditions?
3. If yes on #2, are you really fucking sure?
4. If yes on #3, do you have even 3 months of past performance to back this up?

If you answered yes to 2-4, you are either the next Warren Buffet or a vastly overconfident lucky beginner. Chances are, though, that you answered no to some of those - if that's the case, it's a no brainer to pay it off. You are lucky you are asking this now while you can still get off the treadmill.

Remember, if you accumulate savings, your cash generates a return for yourself - if you accumulate debt, "your" cash generates a return for someone else. Be the first one, not the second one.
