What's actually interesting about this map is how much the USA is purely an economic zone. Some countries have massive provinces like Hindustangeria which are populous but underperform in GDP. But in the USA GDP and population together are almost wholly intertwined- people go where the jobs are and have no loyalty to any birthplace or homestate. Just moving and producing as the economy gradually moved production from the northeast to the midwest to california and now to the southeast and texas.
