I played baseball for over a decade from tee ball thru high school. During college I was an umpire for like 4 years or so. All ages until the last year I was pressured to join the college circuit which would involve a lot of travel and being in the NCAA machine. Less than one person per 200k or more will ever play minor league ball for a MLB farm team.
If that's making it then you have a greater chance than if you consider making it signing a pro contract for millions of dollars. Even the greats have made it and pissed it away or got kiked out of it.
