where i live food authority would laugh at you for trying to do this and forbid you selling food. When that food authority guy was at our place the first time we got registered he gave us a list with like 40 points on it which we had to solve before selling anything. (was like 7k€ to fix, just for paint we paid like 1k€)
but that very much depends on where you live i guess. But it is a great opportunity for you to try it as a hobby first (like sell to neighbours etc unofficially) and see if u like the work.
>did you also have one of those product sheets with different varieties and prices?
yes although a flyer can be made very quickly today with all those AI tools and whatever is available now for free.
>did you have a sales pitch?
not really, i learned by doing. You just go in there, let him taste it, talk a bit about why your stuff is better/fresher/more healthy than ordering from the dutch super farms (pic somewhat related) and also (depending on the customer) an argument is also supporting local business, then you pray you go home with a 40$ per week order. It's not that hard but also like i said you wont sell big amounts (atleast to my experience) to them.
>did you target restaurants that already had microgreens or not?
our area is so small that we literally wrote every single fucking restaurants/kitchen/whatever there is no - don't care how big or small or if they have greens or not on their stuff.
> Did the chef say yes on the spot?
Those that did order mostly "said yes" on the day we gave the test package, yes
did they call you back?
for the most part no, you'll have to call them again and again. dont expect them to "run after you and your product"
ghost you?
never had that happen, but i have to say i always was very friendly to people/customers and i (atleast have the impression) that i can fake being very social (although i am quite introverted and actually hate talking to strangers)
