Seems like it. Here we are too far gone, even cash is almost entirely gone now. Everybody pays with their contactless CCs. Banks and the government pretend they need to know everything about our every step to make shit more secure, but they enabled and pushed for the most insanely easy to trick payment system.
It's millions of cases of scams every year since this shit have been adopted. You have scammers going in crowded spaces like the subway or the mall, simply armed with a card reading terminal, and every CC they come close to get debited.
And they aren't too greedy, they charge like 5 bux, with a seemingly innocent/very common name, like idk "bakery of the center". People don't even notice, and even if they do, they wont bother fighting for weeks with the bank over a 5€ payback. It's too much efforts.

Being a thief never have been this easy, you simply have to walk with a tiny machine in your bag and rub elbows. Meanwhile, we aren't allowed to buy anything over 500€ in cash, because it could "finance terrorism"... Fucking joke of a (((society))).
