I'm reading the official documentation for those 2 and the more I read, the more these seem to be built for a governmental takeover of cryptocurrency.
These protocols are not decentralized by PoW or PoS, they rely on validators which can easily become banks/the government which already have the necessary infrastructure. They also make it very easy to implement KYC/AML for any asset issued by limiting authorization of owning/transfering assets on chain.
I'm balls deep in both XRP and XLM, but this is making me feel very uneasy. I don't want to support such a project or have the (((IRS))) steal my gains in the future, it's not why I got into crypto. I'm considering converting everything to BTC and Monero now. DYOR
