Where are my precious metals fans at? I'm looking to get into gold and wanted to know if its a meme to buy physical oz of gold or should i just buy GLD on the stock market? With all this turmoil in the middle east and geopolitical tension, I am looking to add some diversification to my portfolio. 80% crypto and 20% cash right now but feel I am way over invested in crypto. Thanks.

If I wanted to get away from the volatility of crypto, but without cashing out to USD (taxes), is it a bad idea to buy gold?

I can buy gold locally with crypto, and then I have gold which I can do whatever with over time.

I keep hearing corecucks say that the only reason BTC fluctuates so much is because it is young. They say it will be a good store of value in the future since it will fluctuate less like gold.

Did gold fluctuate that much when it was young? Or are these corecucks bullshitting me?
