Do I really need to go in debt to get a car to go to my shit job?

The only way to keep a capitalist system going is by reducing costs for the capital owning class (prices can't increase due to competition). With human labor being the primary cost of doing business, the capital owning class must squeeze as much value for as little money as possible in order to meet the end game of the capital owning class: more profit (exploited labor value) for the capital owning class. They will nickle and dime you for all you're worth until they can replace you with automatons or Chinese sweat shop labor.

I have a hobby that I invest in and a business idea that I invest in.

I use money outside of this sparingly. I'll treat myself to Chipotle, Q'doba, or chocolate almonds at the store. Besides that I still have the same 3 shirts and 4 pants that I iron myself. My shoes wear down before I buy new ones. I wouldn't dream of buying a new car before the old one stops (or is in danger of doing so).

Who am I trying to impress? Nobody likes me anyway.
