We want the retail horde to flock to crypto but gas is far too high for the average person to trade on a DEX. They can of course use a CEX but learning how to use it I think disqualifies you as retail. When I mean retail I mean dumb money that just wants to ape into the hip thing without having to learning about how a CEX works, so it goes back to gas prices being too extortionate. I don't think we will see retail flock to crypto yet because of this. Right now it's a whales game. Whales pumping other whales bags and smaller fish trying to get in and out before they get wrecked by a whale fin. When ETH 2.0 comes in and retail flocks in, fish will outnumber whales by a factor of over 9000 and then we will have our true golden bull run.
