Ok so to start with, I imagine that you understand how your body is made up of different organs that all work together to function.
And these organs are in turn made up of cells, these cells are made up of a collection of instructions which you likely know is called DNA and this DNA are long polymers of nucleotides which are again made from molecules and atoms.
Now you can see how you can be broken down into simple atoms, do you really think the structure stops at you?

Lets draw your focus to another part of nature, in the form of tree roots and fungi and how the interact with each other to transfer food between rhizoid structures in the soil.
Now this is where it gets exciting and where you can start to see abstract lifeforms if you allow your self to be opened minded.
When humans get together and create organisations, like governments, corporations and religions, you can start to understand how these Abstract entities work.

The devil isn't something that exists in the next life, well maybe it is I don't know, but it sure exists in this life.
