FYI based Elon didn't come up w/ the Simulation Hypothesis/theory -- Nick Bostrom did. Read about it, it's absolutely fascinating but it basically boils down to a statistical probability thought experiment.

tl;dr if computing power ever evolves to the point that it's possible to create planetary-sized, generational simulations, then it stands to reason that there will be many millions of these simulations created. as such, it is mathematically most probable that if those simulations exist, we are currently in one.
