Our brains just can’t be greatful, and in fact the fucked up way our brain works is that we actually feel worse the better we get.

It’s the only reason human civilisation has progressed, this constant need to feel like we need to do better. Our never ending need to do better is completely unsatiable.

The only way to escape this is to fall into a state of learned helplessness, but even then your brain will kick you out of it every now and then without you even realising it
