Moral hazard is at play, and it's total bullshit that this (these) bank(s) thought that the land of milk and honey from tech in the last 15ish years was going to last forever.

I go back and forth on whether or not we should do a bailout/buyout, as the issue doesn't appear to be solvency as opposed to just a bank run. Most of these rich VCs will get 90 cents on the dollar and a lesson they won't forget, their shit will just be tied up in FDIC hell for a while. I normally hate siding with the NPC mob who screams "no bailout" from their Walmart scooter, but their is somewhat of a point there. Blockbuster workers didn't get a bailout. Bed Bath and Beyond workers didn't get a bailout. Middle class workers who got hit during the housing crisis didn't get a bailout.

The argument of "people will lose jobs!" doesn't always matter. Only seems to matter because it's rich VCs and Chewy.com type fluff companies that are hurting. How many manufacturing facilities have closed in this country in the last 50 years?
