Because boomer Dems (that by and large control boomer media outlets) are used to pushing a candidate chosen by a few select elites and businesses, and now they're finally facing backlash from millenials who voted for the last Elite Selected candidate, Obama, and felt jaded after Obama did literally nothing for the little guy. Thanks to social media zoomers, coomers and millenials can now band together and meme their way into pushing a socialist candidate, against the wishes of the Dem Elites.
