It's much easier to buy gold ETF's. GLD or IAU. You can buy this on any stock exchange. Its price follows the gold price. If you want to get into gold miners buy RING. When it comes time to sell gold you don't have to worry about hauling it in to a dealer, getting his really low buy price, or risk having him tell you you have chinese counterfeit gold eagle.
