as somebody with an outsider perspective from straya, Norwegian Air sounds like a nation airline, even if the government has no financial stake in it, the very NAME of the airline makes it seem that it already is apart of the country, you may be correct in your understanding of the sentiment the norwegian people and government feel about this shoddy airline, but the rest of the world dont know all this information and can you imagine how bad it will look for your entire COUNTRY to the rest of the world if 'Norwegian air goes bankrupt' people are going to assume that norway is fucked too now simply because of that name... it will probably have a ripple effect that is terrible for the countries image especially one that is supposed to be so 'progressive' when it comes to helping its citizens.
this alone makes me think that at some stage, the norwegian government will simply be reluctantly forced to bail out this airline for the sake of their own image, or else look like they are falling apart on the national stage
