Dear reader,

Chainlink (LINK) has been one of the best-performing cryptos in our model portfolio.

Since we recommended it in December 2018, the crypto has announced numerous achievements and partnerships (including Ernst & Young and Microsoft). And its market cap has risen from $100 million to $1.3 billion.

But it's time to take our gains off the table.

You see, Chainlink is now facing several headwinds...

For starters, the NEO (NEO) blockchain announced that it's including oracles natively in its next release. These oracles will be designed to pull data directly from a webpage into the blockchain.

Web-based data is not the same thing as decentralized, trusted, third-party sourced data. But for many data needs, it's good enough. And if NEO can integrate this, other blockchains could too.

LINK is also seeing low transaction volumes... long-term investors are selling... and it will see considerable dilution if – and when – new tokens enter the market.

As we explained last month, decentralized oracles have an important role to fill as more blockchain projects integrate data into the services they offer. That's why we recommended Tellor Tributes (TRB).
On May 14, 2019 we sold one-third of our LINK position for a 170% gain. We sold another one-third on June 13, 2019 for a 469% gain. By selling our remaining position today, we're locking in a gain of over 500% on the entire position.
