When SHTF and the world goes back on the gold standard, you can now spend THEIR wealth for your enjoyment or to create new wealth. What will they have? That piece of infrastructure that they paid for for your piece of paper was never properly maintained and is now worthless. The other pieces of paper they have are worthless.
