Monday I paid $5.54/gal for gas. Friday on my way home I saw the same station $5.84/gal for gas.
I drive under 15 miles a day total for work, so my own transportation costs are still reasonable. Everyone else? They are absolutely fucked, many just dont know it yet.

LTC right now is moving exactly with BTC and many other coins doing the same because bots. Currently BTC value = LTC value. Until BTC levels off to a slow crab LTC has no real market value of its own.
It is neither + or - from 24 hours ago. Want a coin that doesnt follow this? ATOM, 0x, REP, smaller coins with no bot hooks in them yet. Investing in LTC is great honestly, but only when BTC is crabbing and you can see the true value of the coin go up or down.

Only if there is losses to btc itself. It is a tool to adjust their annual profit statement.
Lose $100 million, they can write that off as loss of profits from Tesla. So instead of a $200 million profit, they only made $100 million. They still have the same amount of coins it just lost value. Why do it? Taxes. Now instead of being taxed at $200 million, they are only taxed at $100 million.
At the same time their stock tanks for a little bit from the only $100 million profit report. They then buy up cheap stock.

Sup /biz/, cryptotrading newfag here. I started out messing around trading with the Pionex GRID Bot and am now checking out Coinrule, and I'm wondering if it's possible to set up a bot with a simultaneous trailing buy and sell.

Example:
>BTC goes up 10% then drops 1%.
>Bot sells on the 1% drop.
>BTC goes back up 1%.
>Bot re-buys position.
>BTC goes up another 4% then drops 1%.
>Bot sells on the 1% drop.
>BTC drops back down 10% then rises back up 1%.
>Bot buys on the 1% rise.
>BTC drops back down 1%.
>Bot sells back off on the 1% drop.
>BTC drops another 4% then rises 1%.
>Bot buys on the 1% rise.
>BTC goes up 10% then drops 1%.
>Lather, rinse, repeat.

Is something like this even doable with a free cloud-based bot? I'm not really looking to become a power trader to make massive gains with huge leverages on a bunch of coins, but more to come up with a somewhat stable strategy to make a bit of extra profit taking advantage of fluctuations without being stuck within a fixed range such as a GRID bot, while I can also hodl BTC on the side if I wanted to (I'm planning on doing either a 50/50 or 2/3 split into hodling/trading of any funds I put into crypto). Or am I better off just running a GRID bot?

Why arent we making our own coin biz?
Shit looks easy, fork a pos coin, make a website and sell stacks on the first exchange that dares to list the coin.
I can build a site, make the coin look legitimate but im too stupid to fork a coin, otherwise I would have done it already.

Not sure, but potentially a lot. The idea is to use a network of smartphones as makeshift seismometers to create extremely high resolution subsurface resource maps using passive travel time and attenuation tomography. We would create a sort of geophysical analytics library that app developers could include in their projects and get paid for as an alternative to showing users advertisements. That way we could build out a sensor network with unrivalled coverage and density with a flip of a switch since there's so many people with smartphones out there now. Of course that's going to result in a massive deluge of data, but luckily I have a really efficient and robust source localization algorithm that can let us scale to those levels. I'm an applied math guy though, so what I really need is someone with more knowledge of the geology for building up an accurate velocity model.

Basically what happened is that I got scammed into fixing a microseismology company's product for them. The good thing is that they forgot to make me sign any noncompetes or NDAs during the process, so now I have inside knowledge of how to replicate their product from scratch, in addition to all of the improvements of my own.

tl;dr: I want to make an app to discover every mineral resource in north america
