Nah, everyone agrees that classics are cool, but JDM's a different kind of appeal, kids still want to race, but they'd rather do canyon runs and track days rather than drag races, and it's more of the "in" thing as its widespread appeal makes it easier to make friends with people in the same community even if their builds are shit. Also anime and Japanese things have mainstream acceptance now, so it's easier to seem cool with them

And finally yeah, classics are associated with boomers and aging dads, so I agree with you that they gotta go
