The thesis with Fitbit is that they are being acquired by Google for 2.1 billion, paying $7.35 per share for it. Fitbit closed at 6.42 on Friday, which is about 12.5% discount from Google's offer. The risk involved here is that the deal has not closed yet (it's expected to this year). If the deal closes as expected and at the offer price proposed, you shareholders will profit the difference between their cost basis on Fitbit shares and the offer price of 7.35.

Here's the particulars of the offer:

Yessir! TA is just chart reading with indicators and moving averages and that kind of thing. The other related term you will quickly run across is fundamental analysis (FA), which refers to researching the financials, earnings, and supply/demand factors that will affect the future performance of a stock.

Make sure to use investopedia site for articles on pretty well everything related to technical and fundamental analysis. Don't know how an indicator works? Investopedia! Don't know a term? Investopedia! Good luck!
