The feds officially charge managers of Tether for wire fraud on December 16 as BTC hits 8.5k.

On December 28th at 8:23 AM EST, Binance declares bankruptcy citing irrecoverable losses due to the collapse of Tether (which is at that point in time trading for $0.464). Later that day Bitcoin hits 2.5k and crabs there for about a month.
