i ran over a passengers painting they were taking with them to dubai because i didnt realize that i had forgot to close up a baggage container (pic rel) before taking it up to the plane a while back (was on hour 11 of a 12 hour shift on like my 7th day in a row so i was fatigued as fuck)
manager seemed pissed but in the end it turned out he was just mad that my supervisor didnt report what happened correctly so when the airline rep rang him he had no idea it had happened
didnt even get written up or officially warned or anything despite the fact the painting belonged to a very rich business class customer and the painting was probably relatively expensive or held some sentimental value
managers who dont understand that sometimes shit happens and get pissed over things that dont personally affect them when it was obviously a mistake are just assholes, quit the job and move on to the next thing
