This is unironically the bull trap though. Everyone's going to set their longs, bitcoin will flash crash to like 12k or something (like it flash crashed to 3k last cycle), and it'll recover in like a week once all the bulls are liquidated. The fast recovery will liquidate any remaining bears, and with all the idiot leveraged liquidity gone, the bull run will begin in earnest. Then it goes until all of retail is fully invested, and then it dumps the minute retail sees red on their portfolio and panics. Then everyone unwinds their positions and we see headlines BITCOIN CRASHES TO JUST $200K and the new bear cycle begins.

It IS automatic. It's a function of having a hard cap on how much bitcoin there is. Until full adoption, we're going to see this shit over and over.
