Nah, we had some pretty good news now that XRP is officially not a security, but we're celebrating a bit too early. I think the best case scenario will happen once we reliable ways to get rid of retarded pajeet scams.
Perhaps Arkham could provide the tools/incentives for it without the need of government intervention? A sort of necessary evil, if you will.

Oh okay, reading again. So if you make an order on an exchange, the exchange triggers the buy and sell orders.

These orders go to a market maker, this market maker doesn't give a shit about your buy/sell limits it just says what you are willing to pay (and the stock exchange you were using just triggered it due to the limit). It uses this, and does a bunch of trades to make money on the difference.

The market maker then spits back the trades to the stock exchange, the exchange then looks at those trades spit back and looks at the minimum, but it's not really the minimum, it's the minimum they got to see, because the market maker made money off of those minimum trades.

In reality, my example wouldn't happen because the stock market wouldn't allow the spread to go so negative that would happen, but if it did somehow trigger these wide buys and sells, the buyer would be fucked because the market maker doesn't care. That's how I see what you're saying making sense.

>he was forced out of the position because of the rise and was forced to close his position.
All of this would require these things to be true if that happened:

>1. He had to be bearish on gamestop
We know this isn't true because he held 30 million worth of call options when gamestop was over $100 that he was holding for half a year. He closed 10 million out to lock in gains but he HELD through $100 the majority of his bullish position (he was bullish).
>2. He would have have been "forced to close" due to an option expiring
How could he have been bearish holding 200k weekly option betting against gamestop when he was already holding 30m in calls on the same underlying?

The answer is at the time that this happened, what I believe is related and connected, is he sold to close 10 million dollars of his gamestop calls to take gains, at this same time he must have had a multi legged strategy that involved either out of the money calls that he bought back at the same time to close the position. It would have HAD to be calls (and not puts hedging) because he bought to close that leg (not sell to close like a put).
Overall he bought to close a debit position and didn't lose money because we know he made 10 million dollars around that time and HELD onto 20-30 million dollars in equity which he didn't close. So it makes no sense that he was bearish. I stand by what I said that he did NOT buy to close and he wasn't "forced out" of his position.

GHIV bros report in!!!
My modest price target for this week is $15. Im holding about 150 calls/spreads and will start selling at around @14.50. Will hold about 30% of them if i see it has good upwards momentum. Im expecting 80% return if it hits $15

You most likely bought a strike with a wide bid-ask and no volume. Its probably the most important thing to look for when buying an option you dont plan on exercising

If you dont have that much capital i recommend learning about Bull call spreads. Cheaper and alot less downside compared to buying regular calls, yet you can still eek out great returns
