then you have two different concerns, your parents and your brother. it sounds like your relationship with your brother is complicated right now so talking with your parents and figuring out how to calm them down might be a good thing to start with. they are probably worried sick about your brother- one thing that helps people feel better is making a plan, so asking your mom and dad first to tell what they know about the situation and then applying that to set some goals, times (ex: "i'm going to call (brother's name) in the morning, in the meantime i'll text him and let him know we are thinking of him, and after we finish work tomorrow night we can drive to go see him in person so he's not alone," etc)

i don't know much about your relationship but i do know that blood ties are the most important, so even though you got in a fight last year, maybe your reaching out to him with some kind words of support might be welcome (i don't know the specifics, but just speaking generally). if you guys had been fighting and then you offered an olive branch, combined with emotional support from your parents, it might give him a source of strength in this difficult period.

after regaining a bit of emotional stability i think it'll be important for him to see a professional to help him process his grief and figure out how to move on, so that seems like a good thing to help him manage. in the meantime, would it be possible for you or your parents to be with him in person? when something terrible like that happens, it's nice to not be alone and to have someone to take care of you, feed you, watch TV with...good luck anon!
