I know Vitalik et. al's point is deeper than this, but this is essentially what it all boils down to. Their argument always comes off as sour grapes, ESPECIALLY the ethereum people who made stupid amounts off of the most reddit possible meme coins in the early days. Just pathetic hypocritical holier-than-thou bullshit - rich people always do this sort of thing. It's easy to critique other people making money when you already have money.

Do not invest more money than you are completely willing to never see again. This is gambling. That's it. Nothing calculated or intelligent is happening here. You did not come across a super secret legitimate get quick rich scheme. Everyone here is gambling.
Look at this place. We've seen this over and over again with different coins. If you understand that this is gambling, and that these coins (yes, including BTC) otherwise has almost no inherit value, then go and gamble. Just know that you can lose it all.
Most of you already understand this but I've seen a lot of retards destroy their lives chasing a dream.
