Alcoholism runs real deep in my family. I'm probably the best at not only hiding it, but having an on and off switch. I know when I can drink, and when to shut it down. I also stay secluded and don't act out when I drink, or at least don't put myself in scenarios where I could act out. My aunt's a daily drinker, both my cousins are, my dad is, although he has really reeled it in as he has gotten older, my mom loves wine, but has given it up since my sister's nonsense. My brother is the only one who really doesn't drink much. He's just a pot head. Everybody that knows me knows that if you want the best version of me, I'm at my best with a few drinks in me. I'm a very apathetic and uninteresting person when I'm sober

Yeah probably, high school teachers aren't exactly the smartest. The best way to avoid situations like that is to not take stupid risks. Every time I hear about a rock climber dying or a parachute not opening I just shake my head in disgust. Why take a risk like that for "muh heckin adrenaline rush!!". I can get the exact same high watching my beautiful wife stream without any of the risk.

I plan on doing this if I don't gamble all my money away before I leave my current job. The owner was acting really weird today. I asked him how much he wanted to sell the business for and I think he's getting cold feet. I don't know what the fuck is going on in his head. I'm leaving in August no matter what so I don't know if he's planning to run the business after I'm gone or just shut the whole thing down. Would be nice to take a couple of weeks or a month off to just do nothing
