Consensus seems to have agreed upon the fact that something big is going to be announced. Expectations are high to say the least. It is times like these where people tend to set themselves up for failure the most. Nothing is guaranteed, and if you look at what has moved link's price the most in the past it has been b/c of announcements that came out of the blue like Google and the back to back coinbase listings, i.e. unexpected events.

When I say nothing will happen, I'm talking about some type of major headline grabbing announcement or partnership. I think it is likely the team lays out in more detail how they plan on moving forward, future plans, and possibly some insight into the movement of the tokens. I also believe they will announce some cool features, but the kind of thing that only the supernerds and poindexters will understand and get excited about.

If the above ends up being close to accurate, I expect a small sell off from the impatient Twitter traders. I don't think link falls below $2.00 and if it does, it won't last very long below it....instead I see it continue building its base and slowly inching higher as we head into the fall and into Q4. I think we will see a few more unexpected big announcements that people won't see coming that will help push link to new ATH's but I have a hard time seeing a price above $7-8 dollar this year and think it is likely we end the year around the $3-4 dollar range. It is reasonable to expect to see link continue to break it's correlation with BTC as we head into the end of the year.

The technology and potential use cases check out; if it delivers even a subset of what it's supposed to entire product categories that can't currently exist will be possible; if even one of those becomes some dumb fad and then burns out LINK will still moon.
