Lombardy already has COVID-19 neck and neck with all-cause mortality and it's only going to accelerate as the infection continues to grow while the hospitals remain the same.

By what mechanism do Americans think this line is going to taper off? Do they think it's a statistical anomaly or something? A decent chunk of your population is going to die like third worlders. In particular anybody still going to work is getting absolutely fucked by the government which has, itself, closed down a huge amount of its departments for remote working already.
