Yes. To clarify. Some (potentially all) of Kadena core team profited off Fakedex scam. It is basically confirmed Francesco Melpignano came up with the idea to scam using fakedex. I am told that Doug on Kadena core team has also made millions of the fakedex scandal. I haven't heard any other specific names besides those 2, but I am told it is unclear which KDA core members also profited.

Chainweb is still significant intellectual property for sharding PoW blockchains that carries substantial benefits. While it is obviously plagued by scandal, Kadena itself is still one of the most promising L1s.
