It does seem somewhat "bullish" that Jerome may let off the gas a little, rates are still going up however. If we can get inflation down while maintaining decent GDP that'd be nice, but I don't think it'll happen. The 3 month crossed the 30 year yield lul, and the random yield JPOW said was the only one that he cared about ALSO inverted.

I'm in the same boat fren. I'm seriously consider taking my money out of the market and locking it in GICs for a few years with the expectation that rape hikes will continue and house prices will fall (not expecting a crash, but a fall), allowing me to buy more house per $ with a higher rate on the mortgage which I will shovel money into for a yield of whatever the rates at the time are. It also helps that I'm Canadian and people will have to renew their mortgages in a minimum of 5 years from now, so if they locked in at 1.4% in 2020 they are about to be ABSOLUTELY rape hiked in 2025 when it's 5%-8%. That's when I buy.

But if you truly expect to make returns greater inflation you can use your tax advantaged account for a down payment (at least in Canada, idk bout burger) and grow your sum far more than sitting in cash or GIC.
