I don't think you understand, if I keep the money it is me acknowledging I can't do anything on my own, that I may need it in the future, that I'm scared of trying on my own.

By giving it to them, it says I no longer need it, nor do I need their help. I'll finish through University, get a nice job, and get the things I want on my own.

I still have all of my crypto and am not selling it, nor do I care much about it.
