At the same time, steel has recovered nicely and is nicely pumping because apparently we are building a lot of infrastructure. Copper is holding steady and gold/silver mooning. DXY is also kind of neutral. If demand destruction is truly happening, why is steel up then? Shouldn't copper also take a dump? On the other hand, I guess it makes sense since public spending by the state could go up to maintain some semblance of control and that is why steel is going up?
