The idea is that the DTCC told brokers to remove bbby shares to begin with.

Considering that the whole point of DRS is to get your shares out of DTCC hands, I think the DTCC is going to screw all of the brokers over.

Maybe some of the more reputable brokers will try to buy shares for their customers, but I think most would just offer a cash settlement
