Less premium for the reward, .2 delta vix 50 is $80 (0.80) a contract and qqq .2 delta the same expiration next march is over $1000 (10.00). Both are bets on big mean reversion but the payout on vix is way better. But the idea really is that they decay to 0 and the money you saved by going vix and not the q's can be used elsewhere in the market. Vix calls hit 0 not a big deal i now buy 50s again for the next half of the year.
