you're exactly right—not everyone CAN make their own insulin, and far fewer are capable of synthesizing it for those whose bodies can't do it naturally
imagine thinking that you have the moral high ground in forcing any level of financial and legal gymnastics that objectively have nothing whatsoever to do with the question of "are or aren't you able to synthesize insulin for people who would like to buy it" on those few chemists who ARE capable to begin with
in addition to this point, it should be said that neither pharmaceutical companies or enterprising individuals are under any kind of obligation in life to produce anything for anyone—if they stopped producing because you're literally stealing too much money from them for their operations to be profitable and you blame THEM for their refusal to bankrupt themselves, then you're a fucking idiot and a shitty leader
