If the powers that be are going to choose any coin, rather than make their own. It makes sense that they would adopt a currency that allows them to maintain/achieve their current status. The amount of tokens locked in that are destined for the governing councils of which Google is a member would allow such a transition without significantly disrupting the current class system. Alternatively, whoever can build the best technology and services using advanced blockchain/block lattice, should end up bringing the rest of the world with them. I don't see a group better fit for this than Google.
