Second, major recent events:

- On 2/18, the Stargate bridge will go live. The bridge connects the Cosmos Hub to Ethereum, increasing the market reach enormously. The term “bridge” refers to inter-blockchain communication (IBC), this is the practical reality of joining all the disparate blockchain projects into one connected internet. This is a first-to-market, something that other projects have only been able to promise and speculate.

- On 2/18, the marketing campaign kicks off. I highly suspect an airdrop, so get some ATOMs and stick them in a wallet like Keplr. The marketing campaign was approved in January and had an initial budge of approximately 125k ATOMs. I’m not sure how much they will expand it, but this represents the first major marketing push.

- China’s BSN approved a permissioned version of Cosmos. This is huge news – ETH, DOT, whatever, are just permissionless and for external affairs. If you think China is economically important, then look to Cosmos, and keep a close eye on IRISnet.

All of the projects seem very excited about the IBC bridge roll-out and are getting ready to go live. The bridge will probably be fully operational a few weeks after deployment, as it will need a new governance proposal to pass.
