It's really obnoxious and retarded when people who've situated themselves in a really lucrative niche in which their talents aligned with the program act like they're doling out some kind of uncommon game-changing wisdom when they say things like, "Study hard in school" and "Pick a career path that you know is lucrative". No fucking shit, retard. Everybody already knows that this basic concept loosely describes a pathway to money.

The people who actually have an ear open and want/need advice are not people who've never heard "Study hard" and "pick a job that pays well" before. They're people who think, or thought, that this is what they already did, or are doing, and yet for some reason or other it just isn't coming together for them. Maybe they got fed bad information about the job market for a given field and need better info about it and other fields. Maybe they're banging their head against something that doesn't line up with their natural skills to work out for them, and they need to know something about what kinds of people are good at providing value and getting ahead in what area. Maybe somebody literally just doesn't know how to run through a job app process effectively while beating resume keyword filters and getting persuasive letters on people's desks. Or maybe there's a million and one other idiosyncrasies of their possible list of professions that a dentist simply has no idea about. Any way you slice it, OP is just a smug faggot nattering about absolute bare basics that everyone already heard before like it's divine revelation.
