i were but lost most in the mtgox hack. bitcoin cash people are mostly OGs that actually believe in the original intent of bitcoin, if you hadn't noticed.

my only feel is that blockstream has successfully delayed bitcoin so much that now nobody has a chance.
bitcoin genuinely had a chance to become something great 5 years ago but they wouldn't even give a MB so the community broke apart and adoption and faith was lost.

Blockstream = Block The Stream

The name itself is a taunt.

‘Here’s one: limit the block size. Keep it as small as possible. Create bottlenecks. Make transactions reversible. Kill Bitcoin’s ability to scale as money for the world…without your help, of course.

Don’t try to control Bitcoin outright. That won’t work. Satoshi was smart about that. But make Bitcoin slow and expensive and it will be yours just the same.

Early users won’t like this. Bitcoin was meant to be fast and cheap. You must convince them that they will achieve a superior Bitcoin by giving up the old one.

The trick is to turn their ideals against them. Learn to use them as weapons. They won’t question the block size if you tell them it is for ‘decentralization.’ They won’t if you tell them it is about nodes and security.

They’ll even be glad for your help. They will thank you for protecting Bitcoin against the shortsightedness of those who want to use it. They will slowly get used to paying higher fees because it’s for a higher cause. You’ve got it.

That’s one way.

This. Their only job is to sabotage scaling, and if they can profit off that in the meantime with garbage like lightning, that is just bonus. They did their hitjob well, until Satoshi came back and took back Bitcoin through BSV. Now they are fuming.

Satoshi left Gavin with bitcoin but made the mistake to not ask Gavin if he wanted the responsibility first. He didn't, so Gavin brought in others to help, who eventually claimed Gavin's account got hacked and revoked Gavin's github access.

It's not doubled blocksizes, it's literally a 32000% block size increase vs BTC, plus it's exandable forever. It has cheaper fees than LTC and VERT.

The main argument is that it is Bitcoin itself, it has the same exact codebase as BTC.

The community of big blockers vs small blockers basically fought each other for years, and there is a conspiracy that BTC has been taken over by corporations and banks, which is why a 2nd layer network is being built on top of it to service routing hubs (like a bank).

So it is basically the exact same thing as BTC except a lot cheaper in fees. It also has instant transactions with 0-conf, something removed from BTC a long time ago with RBF.

Oh yeah, ICOs and smart contracts are now possible on BCH because OP_CODES restriction has been lifted (something added in BTC). Social media sites like Memo.Cash allow you to post messages and images directly on the blockchain but you have to do a transaction for each post (it's cheap though)

It's not libertarian bullshit if it is reflected by reality. All the stats show that economic freedom leads directly to reduced infant mortality. A nice example is the industrial revolution. Yeah, kids working in factories isn't something we like to hear about, but the fact is that child deaths under the age of 10 reduced significantly during this time.

In all nations that have experienced economic freedom and with it economic growth, infant and child mortalities drop SIGNIFICANTLY. The first step to economic freedom is have control over your money, and requires that money to be easy to spend. Bitcoin (cash) brings that.

Also he doesn't even have a U.S. citizenship anymore, he renounced it after he was imprisoned.

He's just one guy trying to spread the message of Bitcoin, only way Blockstream can win is through personal attacks and defamement, because they do not have facts on their side.

Oh and Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin, the bitcoin without segwit, and without blockstream core, and without censorship.

Also I hold both BTC and BCH since I got in at 2013, but I hold and support BCH much more than BTC. BTC is a shitcoin now, BCH is the real bitcoin I was playing with back in the day.

Anyone who thinks that BCH is just a "Jihan Wu" and "Roger Ver" coin has fallen to the censorship trap of Blockstream
