Don't you think they already are?

I use an exchange in Canada that shows my CAD value to 8 decimal places, and I can trade within those decimal places.

How do you think these exchanges keep track of the value of fiat currencies that accurately? Something needs to work as an oracle between fiat price and crypto price. The fiat's already been digitized, and this exchange is clearly operating on a blockchain.

Would this exchange's infrastructure be built on a private blockchain or one of the public ones? Do forex exchanges already use some equivalent tech? Am I retarded/have I misunderstood something?

Please anons tell me if my schizoid brain is leading me in the right direction

Imagine I keep more than a day's worth of pocket-change trading fun money on an exchange at any given time
