But it's ok, I did the Google search for you. This was what I was looking for. A simple clear graph to give a little data to back your intuitive guess about the state of NASA funding. It has remained steady. It has reduced slightly as a % of GDP, to be clear.
We all need to use shortcuts to prevent from being overwhelmed in life. But when people are presenting their feeling as facts, they do great damage to human progress. Because you are important, people like and trust you, and when you spout off without knowing the facts, people are likely to believe your wrong intuitions.
And then they will make tragic bad decisions based on monkey-instincts that hurt themselves, and everyone else on this planet.
If something is important to give great speeches about, it's important enough to spend 5 minutes gathering the basic facts.

Have you heard of technology?
It has allowed people to live on far less land than previous generations could have dreamed of. Hunter-Gatherers needed vast tracts of land to support 100 people. Farmers only need a few fields. And now with indoor farming, all we need is energy. Have you heard of solar panels? Wind turbines? 4th generation nuclear power stations? None of this has existed in the past. There are still near infinite rescources on Earth. There is so much empty space in all of our countries which, with modern technology, we can create self sustaining societies in (hopefully some will churn out new animes) The sea is still unoccupied 2/3rds of the entire surface of the Earth is ocean, and won't take much technology to colonise. Not to mention humanitys growing capabilities in travelling to space. A single asteroid has all the pervious metals ever mined on Earth. And entire other planets to live on.
You natural common sense no longer applies, because us humans (well, the productive 1%) have learned how to work literal miracles of production.
And birthrates are stabilising at 2 children per woman in every country, no matter the religion or race.
This is the start of the most exciting and best era, humanitys adolescents. It's unsurprisingly there are some here with angst, kek.
