I have been thinking about the first Linkpool payout that just occurred (or is about to occur). I’m an American so couldn’t hop in the pool, and I’m not sure if this was discussed...but does anyone have any info on how those first Linkies were gained? Were they acquired through actual use of the network? And if so, do we have any idea as to what applications? Is mainnet being used now?

I guess I’m just asking if anyone can do a data dump here. I’m sure I, and other Amerifags, want to get as much info as we can so we can get into #NodeMode

the success of the chainlink network largely relies on the greatest and most diverse distribution of link nodes.

If node operation is made so simple by SaaS, the average hobby tech idiot will soon be able to spin one up and contribute to the network scale, whilst earning a tidy little profit from his efforts. It's a win win for Sergey and node operators.

Obviously the majority here can envisage how profitable running a node will be and token price potential, hence the 100K+ stacks eagerly waiting to get staked.

once this thing is serving up API's more frequent than a soup kitchen spoon, the price will follow.
